Vainqueur is a master of martial arts. He claims to be undefeated in all styles, has skills to defeat any monster, and has a range of knowledge greater than anyone.

He teaches Stocke, Aht and Eruca secret skills passed down through Pacts.

When all skills are learned he challenges Stocke to a final trial, a battle to the death, claiming he has nothing more to teach.

After he's been defeated, the Historica blade starts to shine. Vainqueur asks Stocke to give it to him, and he makes the sword release its true strength, becoming the True Historica.

Battle

Phase One

In the first part of the battle, Vainqueur will use his house to attack you. It takes the form of a Hell Spider and has all of the same attacks as one. This fight is fairly easy, especially since the player should be used to fighting this type of enemy at this point in the game. The player should mostly use this battle to do things like charge the Mana Gauge and make sure that all characters they are using are fully healed. 

Phase Two

The second half of the battle is significantly more difficult. Vainqueur will attack with four copies of himself, and while they don't do very much damage on their own, when they combine their powers the fight can easily become overwhelming. The player should not bring physical attackers, as they will do almost no damage against Vainqueur. Instead, the player should focus on debuffing the MDEF of the Vainqueurs and taking them out one by one by building up magic combos.
